# Spyware and Malware

Malware is another major issue that plagues the current online dating world. The fraudster usually encourages the victims to click on links and once these external links are opened, this software is laced with malware software that is designed to gain access to users’ personal information. Once the victim opens these links unknowingly, they are running the risk of getting scammed by this software that can steal money or personal information from the user.
